The Sandhills of NC is home to more quality golf courses than any other golfing vacation destination in the country, says a recent survey by Golf Digest. The great golf course architects of the world such as Rees Jones, Ellis Maples, Dan Maples, Davis Love III, Arnold Palmer, Donald Ross, Robert Trent Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Mike Strantz have found the Sandhills to be a hallowed sanctuary for designing extraordinary golf. Sure there are other golf vacation spots, but none can claim the history, the tradition and the quality of the NC Sandhills.
