Legends course in Myrtle Beach is actually 6 18 hole EXCELLENT golf courses. Heathland (My Favorite), a Links style designed by Tom Doak, Moorland, Stadium Style, designed by Pete Dye, Parkland, a 7140 yard design by

Allister MacKenzie (designed Augusta National) and George Thomas (Riveria Country Club), Marsh Harbor, marshy target golf, designed by Dan Maples, Oyster Bay, another Links Style course, designed by Dan Maples and Heritage Club, a Magnolia Tree Style course with plenty of water, whose designer was not mentioned. I played the Heathland and Moorland courses.

Team Golf Merchandise Since I prefer Links style courses, I liked the Heathland best and shot my lowest score there (92), but felt like I had played well enough to be in the mid 80's. The Moorland course was designed to torture golfers, and it had that effect on me, generating double bogies. The assistant pro bet me that I would have trouble shooting par on the 16th 245 yard par 4. I said no way.

Then, as I stood on the 16th tee box, I remembered what he had said, and thought "Oh shit!" Pardon my French, but a photo of the 14th hole is below. I got a 6, when I missed the green from the tee and again missed it on the 2d shot. My 3d shot went on but rolled off into a bunker - so it was on in 4 and down in 6.Adams Golf

Legend course "Heathland", a Tom Doak beauty in the Scottish tradition "molded in the image of St. Andrews, Lahinch and Cruden Bay". Extremely well manicured with nice greens...Moorland, a P.B. Dye course similar to PGA West. That means very target golf. Undulating fairways with a lot of big bunkers. The par 4 16th is the famous "Hell''s Half Acre". Very good track. Legends course "Parkland", an Alister Mackenzie and George Thomas gem (MacKenzie designed Augusta National, Riviera, Royal Melbourne and Cypress Point to name a few). This course is magnificent to look at, perfect condition and fun to play. A 4.5 Golf Digest Rating and my favorite.
